Passing by Castel del Monte: Our route takes us right past this beautiful medieval town, perched like an eagle's nest on the mountainside. The main highlight: A stop at the world-famous film set of the Rocca Calascio castle ruins with its iconic, octagonal mountain church (Santa Maria della Pietà). Time for discovery & enjoyment: Take advantage of your time at the fortress to explore the historic setting and enjoy a relaxing break with food and drinks (food at your own expense). Ride to Santo Stefano: Our route also takes us directly to the magical, entirely stone-built mountain village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio.
